I'd like to introduce myself.

Introducing myself and a little bit about me, Lance, the author of 'The Realoscope of Ringgold Valley"

Hi:

Thank you for stopping by. I'm Lance Okones. I'm an Orthodox Christian. I work as a security guard at the only factory of it's kind on the North American Continent (not to much info shared here purposefully) for about 36 hours a week. When I'm not cleaning house or in Dad mode or Grandpa mode I try to sell the children's book series I'm the author of. My books were published by Orchard House Press. Hard economic times saw my titles cut from Orchard House's title list and now the illustrator Chris Trefz and myself are self-publishing and promoting the books. It's Sci/Fi Fantasy Children's series called 'The Realoscope Series'. The first book in the series, 'The Realoscope of Ringgold Valley' will soon be available. Book 2, Bumper Cars in the Kuiper Belt should follow shortly. A third and fourth book could follow these, but I don't want to say to much yet.
My wife, Tracy, of 22 years is a registered nurse. We have five kids. One is a Cosmetologist, one is a musician, one works in construction (and plays in the same band as the musician), one is a college student working her way through school and our youngest is a Sophomore in high school. We have two amazing grandkids I like to call Ducky Doc and Be-bop-Sheboygan!
My dog is a boxer, not just any boxer, a Vel-Hi boxer. My Great Aunt (God rest her soul) Velma Hiser was, during her lifetime, a dog show judge (internationally I think). Anyway, she strove for a certain look in her dogs and today we have what are known as Vel-Hi Boxers. All the hi-fulootin stuff aside, his name is Chance, he's a Brindle in color, he's big, he's loud, he sends drool flying in all directions when he shakes his head (which he does alot), and constantly wants to be taken outside.
Type me a response and let's get some blogging going!
